First I will start off by giving my LJ a big hug and begging for forgivness for my neglect. *gets down on knees*

Secondly, tonight's eppy: SUPERNATURAL. AWESOME. THE END.

Seriously why isn't this show like kicking the butt of a lot of other shows in the same time slot, it freaking baffles me. Why?

I've got so many plot bunnies running around in my head it's crazy:

1) A Peter/Adam AU where Adam is a detective tracking a serial killer and Peter is a Pathologist(yes this bunny came on the cusp of my viewing of Pathology).

2) A Paire story in which Claire is living with the Petrelli adn she meet Peter for the first time and try as they might to fight it they fall in love. Problems ensue.

3) A Pelle fic where Elle leaves the Company to find Peter after he goes crazy because of Nathan's murder.

4) A Peter/Nathan fic, in which Nathan and peter go on a road trip to reconnect.

5) A Paire centric retelling of Season one.

There are a few other too. They are all clamouring for attention.

I did some serious work on the Pelle fic at work today, because those two just bring the heat when they are together. Paire always has a endearing quality to it but I think Peter and Elle just have this animalistic passion between them. Peter is more agressive when he's with Elle which I love. At least that how I want it to come off in my fic.

Went to see Iron Man last night and loved every minute of it. I love when my summer movies start off with a real good film. It gives me hope for the rest of the season's films.

Also I think I am in love with Robert Downey Jr. He was just a talented man and insanly hot in the movie. I always liked RDJ acting wise but you can see he took the role seriously even when he's doing his comidic best. He put on a bit of muscle too. He just seems so cool and funny. Gwenyth Paltrow who I dont ususally love turned out a good performance as well. So did Terrence Howard and Jeff Bridges.

Honestly the character development of this film is awesome. I have to give it to Marvel Studios, if this is their first effort at bringing their comics to the big screen then I expect thigs will be very good for them in the future.

I AM SICK!

I knew I was about due for either the flu or a sinus infection. Those come whenever there is a change in weather and it has been crazy the last two weeks here in NYC. Last week it was nice and warm, just light jacket weather. Now it's back to being chilly and I had to breakout my actual pea-coat. Plus it rained yesterday which didn't help.

I get respiratory infections quite easily. I don't know why but strep throat, sinus infections or the flu I get with ease. I have to start combating those suckers as soon as I feel the slightest itch in my throat. This morning I woke up around 4am and my eyes were glued shut from the sinus infection. So now I'm home for the day; if I seem surprising chipper it's because the meds are taking effect.

On the plus side: I order Grand Theft Auto for PS3 and it came in the mail today. SCORE!!!

I can see that my boss and I are going to have words. I like they guy, he's a nice man, but his perception of reality is kinda off.

I mention this before: the guy who held my postiong be froe he left never did any of his paper work, and paperwork is a big part of the job. So now whenever I cant find an order my boss lokks at me like I'm guilty of some huge crime. So I started fixing him with an evil stare and everytime he starts on how important paperwork is to the job, I remind him that his old assistant sat at the same desk for two years and never did on freaking peice of attaching paperwork. So dont strees to me how important it is when you knew that the old guy wasnt doing his job and you let it slide.

What bothers me is that to him I come off as this lazy young black girl who doesn't want to do her work( I swear that is exactly how he looks at me), which is far from the case. If he were to look in the files every peice of paperwork or any order I have done since I've been there is where it should be. I told him anything before that is not my problem.

Also I feel sick. My throat hurts I think it's about time for me to get the flu. Teehee. I about due for the flu.

Isn't it strange how you could love someone and yet want to slap the hell out of them sometimes?

Today my friend calls me to tell me some insanly bitchy thing her sister did to her this evening... but this is nothing new. Her sister is always doing fucked up shit to her. Lately I've just been too tired to really entertain her complaining about it. It's always the same complaint and I ask her why she still get worked up about the shtty things her sister does when she knows they are coming days in advance? Why all the aggravation when this is nothing new with her older sister?

I don't think that makes me a bad friend. Most times I'll just bit my tongue and listen; let her vent but these last few days have been a bit twinging on my nerves. So tonight she sends me a instant message tellimg me she stressed and has a headache and I'll admit my first response was "and?" then I told her stop stressing, take a Advil and go lay down, seconds later her away message comes up and it's: " didnt realize I was such a bother to people... won't make that mistake again"

WTF?! IS she kidding me?! IS she serious?! IS she fucking five years old?!

I love the girl but I'm not in the mood tonight to entertain this childishness. She's fucking 23 years old and she's too old to play that "wahhh the world is so mean to me" game. I know she's kinda stuck in her situation at the moment but most of the stress she brings on herself and it's unecessary stress. I think everyone is entitled to get pissed off now and again about somethign someone does to them but if it's stress over things that are not surprising and pop up every week then why get mad at all.

Now that I have vented my frustration I going to leave it open for a few opinions. Am I a bad friend?

I'm going to let her be angry about it tonight but I'm almost sure she'll be over it by tomorrow.

So this past weekend was NY ComicCon and it was awesome. I've never been to a convention so it was definitly an experience. It was interesting see that it not just a pass time for a lot of people but a way of life. I took my friend along with me and we had the best time.

We went to see the Hellboy Panel, which was cool becasue the cast was there as well as the director. Also the director of the movie Wanted (with Angelina Jolie). We got to see some nice clips of both films. We also went to the panel for Harold and Kumar and that cast is just so silly.

The highlight of course was seeing Milo in person. He is really so pretty and also very devoted to whatever he is involved in. Also he apparently doesn't sleep much, to the less then delighted minds of his buddies. They joked about how he calls them at all hours of the night. Russ was there as well and he was very quiet. It was funny because even though everyone on the panal was pretty much an expert they let Milo answer all the questions. He kept saying "you know you guys can ask the other guys up here questions" but everytime a question would be directed at someone else they would turn and look at Milo, they would just look down the panel at him...Lol.

All and all it was so much fun. We're planning to go to the one in San Diego.

Wow, I'm very backed up in post I have been without internet service since Friday. Ohh LJ how I have missed you.

So I'm just gonna post my inteneded posts from Friday to Tuesday.

On Friday: Pathology is Awesome!

Just got back from seeing Pathology. But before I get to my little review a couple of things I noted that they really didn’t promote the movie that much which is truly a shame. The movie was getting a limited release which is cool because basically they wanted to see what the numbers would be, but my thing is they really didn’t promote the movie at all. It got plenty of promotion internet wise but not on TV. So how do they expect it to do well in limited release with no type of promotion? It’s a shame really because the movie was incredible.

There was a good amount of people in the theater for a Friday afternoon, and the theater was pretty strict on ID. I heard a couple of kids behind me talking about whether the cashier was going to ask for ID which she did.

I wasn’t too sure I was going to really like the movie despite the fact that Milo is in it. Sure he was the main reason I was going, but I was really surprised by the film itself. Good thrillers/horror movies are hard to come by these days and it’s really easy for most to fall into cliché traps and gimmicks. However when watching Pathology there was never a time I was thinking about how stupid a character’s actions were or rolling my eyes, or screaming in frustration at the screen. Milo was excellent as expected. With some actors it get hard to differentiate them from one character to the next, but Milo was every inch Ted Grey, whose last name, now that I think about it, fits very well. He gets sucked into this world and it’s easy to see from a curiosity standpoint how a person could get in over their head. It obvious that all the studying he did for the role paid off in a big way. Plus there are some nice eye-candy moments thrown in there to wet a girl’s appetite (SWOON!). At one point I thought my friend was going to run up and lick the screen. I loved every minute of the movie; even the sex scenes never feel out of place or unnecessary. Ohhh and the ending was just awesome and a genuine surprise. That’s hard for most movies to pull off. Big kudos to everyone involved with the project.

Also I heard the movie had to be cut in spots to make an R rating instead of NC-17 and with as much blood/gore/sex as there is in it I’m giddy and somewhat afraid to find out what was cut from the film.

I won’t give away anything, though if anyone wants to ask me anything spoilery they can email me or PM me.

Well my parents didnt leave me home by myself as a child. They gave me a key to the house when I was 14 and then when I was 15 I startedg going straight home from school instead of to my grandmother's house.

However I do have a funny story that kinda fits into this catogory.

My parents and sister were driving to Virginia Beach for a funeral, but I couldn't go because of school. Now there are two ways to get into my house, the side door or the front door. The side door opens to a hallway with the door to the kitchen on one end and the stairs to the basement on the other. To make myself feel safer when home alone I locked that door to the kitchen from the inside. There is no key for the front door, that I have anyway, but if there is someone home to open the front door for me it doesnt matter.
So I leave out the front door, shopping cart and all and I come back with a bunch of food. But since it is basiclly impossible to ge the cart in though the door on the side I figured I would go into the house through the side door and come around and open the front. Except when I go to open the door leading into the kitchen it's locked and I don't have a key, the key that locks that door is in the door on the kitcken side. Nor do I have the key to the front door.

So here I am with no way to get into my house and my parents are literally miles away. LMAO. So in a true McGuyver moment after I stress for about five minutes the lightblulb goes off in my head. I go into the basement and get a hanger and I straighten it and poke it through the keyhole in the kitchen door to knock the key out. Then I make a hook and drag the key to me under the door and let myself in. LMAO. This happened five years ago so I would have been 20 and I just told my mom that story a couple of weeks ago. She just shook her head at me.

It used to be that my friends and I would go clubbing almost every Saturday. Not so much anymore since everyone is working now and the weekend is for catching up on sleep. We still get in a few party nights and nights out for drinks but not as much as we all used to.

I

The Simpsons

I'm glad that Heroes made the list though I think it should have been in the top five. Also where is Supernatural. I know the show has only been on for three seasons but it's a good show. Maybe it didnt balst on the scene like some of te other shows on this list but it's deserves an honerable mention.

You ever have someone at work that you just want to smack. Well there is such a girl at my office. Whenever she does something she as to announce that she doing it. She takes all the printouts and distributes them( thanks I appreciate it ) but then she says something like "Well I didnt it becasue no one else did". We have a schedule for doing the distributing but sometimes (most times actually) we get so backed up with work that we dont get a chance to do it on schedule. Yet apparently she does, and she has to announce that she does it. WTF?? And it not like she's doing it so everyone can have their attachments she's doign it because she has jsut as much paperwork printed out as the rest of us in those piles and she wants to get hers first. She seems to be jsut about the only one with free time to do that.

I think it bad that I go to work everyday with a sense of unhappiness. I leave work everyday with a headache. I just dont like being there at all. I'm only sticking it out until I find something better or at least until after UI have collected a few paychecks. I know that sounds horrible but I have to get out of that place. My co-workers are cool enough but most of them aren't sticking around either. There is one guy there who hasbeen with the company for two years and he is miserable. It's written all over his face that he hates it.

Also to boost my spirits I'm going to make a whole bunch of icons. I need to get back to my Milo and Heroes love.

Hello LJ I have missed you!!! *hugs lj*

I haven't had a chance to post because I started this new job and it's kinda kicking my butt. It's only been two weeks and I already hate it. I know jobs are difficult especially when your forst starting out but this is jsut extra. All the bossese have been super nice. It's all very suspect to be honest; now I know why they were being so nice. I find out that the guy who was working at my desk before me never did any paper work so I have no idea where anything is. To make matters worse some of the bosses caome asking em about stuff and I have no idea about where to look for it. The messed up thing is the bosses knew that and they never fired him even though paperwork is a big part of the job. Hmmmm...so basically they knew I was walking into this huge mess and said nothing. I got no fair warning about just how royaly fucked I am.

SO I'm already looking for another job. Wish me luck.

So this was my first week of work which was actually just training supposedly. Basically in training me and whoever else is in ti sit in this little room and learn to use the codes and such for the data entry. Monday and Tuesday went by without much incident. Then Wednesday after I come back from my lunch break the woman who is training me tells me I'm going to be joining my sales team and inputing and transmitting real data. WTF?!!!! No fair warning, just cut the umbilical cord. I felt like the bird who gets pushed out the nest by it's mother and whether I fly or no will determine my survival.

Well it wasn't as bad as I thought, everyone on my team is real nice and helpful and patient. The reason I was sent down so soon is because the original supervisor of my team put in his two weeks notice and after that he left. However he was already backed up like three months worth of work and he left without finishing any of it. There are three people in my group and that have that work to finish as well as new work to complete; so they are completely frazzled. So they send me down there and aside from new order and couple of other things I cant do anything else becasue I dont know how. It's even crazier because the new supervisor is really cool, but because of all the work she can't train me. So they put me on filing detail.

It cool I'm getting little on the job training. I'm also finding out who the snakes in the grass/who's cool and who to really talk too. So it's not as bad as it seems

First let me jsut say that my heart goes out to the family of the girl and the men who died in the crane incident here in NYC. It's two blocks from my job and they have streets around the area closed off but during my lunch break I was able to get close enough to see the total damage done; all I'm saying is that somebody's head is gonna roll for this.

I stated my new job today. Well actually i started training today. I like it so far except that the woamn who is training us is a bit mean. Honestly, she says that she doesn't have a problem answering whatever questions we have but when someone doesn't input something right she gets all mean and downright rude. Now they person training with me wasn't operating 100%, being sick and coming to work on your first day is commendable. So he was lagging a little and she was still rude. Then the crazy thing is this woman is getting on me and the other person for kinda lagging in inputting the data, she's all "most people wpild have been done already." Then her partner comes in and asks how we are doing and I tell her we're just trying to finish up and she says "are you kidding? save some of that for tomorrow." WTF??

Now I wish she had been our trainer.

But tomorrow is a brand new day so I'll see how it goes.

I'll admit that my post yesterday was a bit on the murky side. I was just feeling a bit despondent. I have no money(not really anyway); I have a job that I'm not too fond of, sure the money is ok but I still kinda hate it and I have no SO.

Yet today I woke up and I decided I wasn't going to wallow. After all despite a few setbacks I have a pretty good life. I'm healthy, I have good friends in RL and online and I've got family. So I hit the gym and worked out some of my sadness and while i was there I got a call today about an interview I went on about a week and a half ago.

I got another job!!! It pays slightly less then what I was making but it's in tv advertising which is exactly what I wanted to go into. Plus it has really good benefits. I'm so happy. I start Monday and the people are really nice and all the people I'll be working with are around my age.

Also as a plus I might get to go to the NBC Upfronts come September(I think).

You know it really is a shame when your next door neighbor's kid asks you when you are going to have a baby? The little boy asked me that today... his mom and I are the same age and she already has him and his little sister. Plus all her friends have kids. Such is the state of things that it weird for me to have made it all the way to 25 without getting pregnant. When did being young and pregnant become the norm? I'm not knocking anyone who has kids who is the same age or younger the me...things happen, but I swear when I tell a guy I don't have kids he's more surprised by that than anything else I could say. Hmmmm...interesting.

There was also this very interesting discussion I was having with a few friends of mine. We were talking about the idea of nontraditional relationship. Let's face it, there are just as many girls who don't want to get married as there are that do. It seems like the idea of marriage scares a lot of people or people just don't want to make that kind of commitment. I read that more couples are content to live with each other and do the who family thing without actually ever getting married. I swear the best relationship I know of is the one between my best friend and her "husband". They are not married, but they live together and they have hardly any problems.

Personally I'm not a big fan of marriage, but that just based on what I have seen in life so far. My aunts, uncles, hell even my own parents have all been married for at least 20 and each of this couples seem to absolutely despise each other. I can't help but think that the way my aunts and my mother are treated by the men in their lives has made me very wary and distrustful of the opposite sex. And if there is one thing I cant stand is for a woman to make excuses for why her man has done such and such. People make mistakes, but just because you say "he's a man, that's what they do" doesn't absolve what was done. I know that attitude might be because of the generation gap. After all my mom is in her 50's and my aunts are either late 40's early 50's and when they were coming up women were dependent upon men for a lot more then they are now, but come on. It seems slightly demeaning to one's self respect to allow yourself to be treated like a doormat. I'm not married but it seems to me that if someone loves me enough to want marry me they aren't going to treat me like crap.

The whole thing just make me a little upset. After all the men of my own race seem destined to be underachievers. What kind of pickings does that leave for me and my girlfriends. serious on the day of my graduation there were 900 people graduating total and only 200 of them where males; the other 700 females. that is just truly dire.

On a funny note: This morning I'm on the train with my mother and I'm totally eavesdropping on this conversation between this girl and guy who are probably around 17-18 years old. Technically they were standing right over me so it was almost impossible to not hear them. So the boy mentions that his sister's birthday is this week and she'll be 25; to which the girl replied "oh my god, that is so old!" The the boy say "yeah I know" like the idea of being 25 is so offputting and unthinkable. I'm due to be 25 a few months and I dont think I'm old by any strech of the imagination, but the way these kids were talking it was like 25 is way past anyones prime and I should just put myself out of our misery. LOL. I just found that too funny.

I have officially fallen in love with Entourage. I went out and brought Season One and I loved it. After I fell in love , I figured I really shouldn't spend money on the other seasons, at least not yet. However, my love for the show overpowered me and I brought seasons 2 and 3. As a bonus when I went to pay all the HBO dvds were on sale. So I caught a break with that.

I have been watching nothing but Entourage all weekend. Vince is adorable, Eric is neurotic, Turtle is just so lovable, Drama is crazy and Ari is such a glorious bastard.

Also some icons:

So I see that No Country for Old Men won best Picture... I'm a little stunned because I figured Atonement was going to win. Well kudos to the Academy for that one. I haven't seen No Country but I've heard good things about it.

Last night I had this moment where I had to stop talking and take in how much I sounded like a parent. Since my mom has been resting up since her surgery I pretty much took on everything she used to do around the house. I will admit that I slipped up a bit when it came to my little sister's schoolwork. My sister isnt a abay, she's 12 and she knows what she has to do, but like a lot kids she isn't going to do most things without someone forcing her hand. The kids had President's week off and last night I'm checking to make sure she did all the work she was supposed to do. I ask her about it and she cannot produce the homework that she did on demand. She has no idea where it is.

My sister's track record with the truth isn't that great and she's a drama queen so immediatly my skeptisism is me picking on her. I'm giving her the stern talking to and she give me attitude and beleive me after that I was losing my cool. I had to send her to bed, I felt like such a parent. Really all i was trying to do was look out for her as big sisters do, but she gave me attitude. So now the hammer has been brought down... mom and dad took away her tv, Nintendo Wii, PSP, and all other forms of enjoyment. She olny get to keep her cell phone becasue we need to be able to keep track of where she is.

I don't undetstand how my mother could go into the hospital for a outpatient procedure and three days later she might be in need of a blood transfusion. My mom has always had heart problems from when she had rhumatic fever as a child and last September she went into the hospital for open heart surgery. She's been doing really well right up until now. She's been on disability so she was home. She was getting her strength back and gaining all the weight she lost back ,but she went in for this procedure Thursday and she's been in the hospital since then.

I guess it's just because I don't like the hospital that she is in now, that I'm freaking out . When she was in the hospital after her surgery, St. Vincent's here in NYC I wasn't worried about whether she was being treated and taken care of properly, but with this other place... just doesn't sit well with me. I know a lot of hospital staff are streched really thin and I know that they cant be everyewhere at once but I just worry. When I went to see her last night I was just very put off.

My mother and I are very close... like Gilmore Girls close( in case you need an idea of how close) and I get really defensive when it comes to her and I want to be sure she's taken care of.

Supernatural - "Jus In Bello"

As everyone knows since the writers strike killed the rest of the season of Heroes I've had to look to other places for my entertainment. All I can say about that is thank god for Supernatural. It has been one of the few saving graces where television is concerned. It's weird because when the show first aired it wasn't one that I watched religiously. I caught up the first two season on dvd and by the time the third season I was so hooked on this show it was crazy. I can see now why it gets such praise

Plus it seem I have a thing for hot brothers who have a certain air of the inappropriateness between them (Petrellis and Winchesters I'm looking at you!)

That said I just have to squee about last night's episode.

Over all I loved it though there were bit and pieces that I'm a bit shaky on.

I'm slightly perturbed that they killed off Henrickson. I liked him and since he now knew that demons did existed I wanted him to maybe quit the FBI and become a hunter. They did a bit of shadowing there like that where he would be headed but then Lilith came and put an end to that pipe dream. *pouts*

And Lilith... I'm still on the fence about whether I like that fact that she's a kid. I like the that big bad is female, but a little girl, I'm a little skittish. It has been done before, but I have faith that the writers can pull it off and make it a pleasant surprise. She's obviously uber powerful if she can get this kind of following, but what it really makes me wonder is what can Sammy do that she's gunning for him so hard? Also who was the person whose hand she was holding. Is it some woman whose going to be like psycho nanny from The Omen.

Ohh I do like her because she obviously thinks Dean in hot. Which I can agree with whole heartily.

Can Dean please kill Bela. She moving over onto the annoying side.

I think this was one of the few times that I didn't like Ruby. I still think there was some other agenda with her plan. After all it seems silly for her to have a plan that would result in her death after she spent so much effort getting Sam to semi-trust her. I think the boys made the right choice in not going with her plan. Honestly, yes Ruby's plan would have given them a larger head start on putting space between them and Lilith but we all know she would have caught up to then eventually. So why sacrifice a human for their own needs. I think that if they had gone along with her plan they wouldn't be the Winchesters I know and love.
